Aleksandar Timofejev

Director and Editor-in-Chief of RTV Studio B

He was born on April 25th, 1965 in Belgrade.

He completed the primary and secondary education in Kikinda. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade - Department for General Literature and Literature Theory in 1989.

He started his career in journalism in 1987 in the program of Radio Studio B. He had been working as the wandering reporter and radio presenter in the information, music and cultural shows in Studio B for three years.

Since the establishment of ITV Studio B, in 1990, he had worked as the TV journalist. He was the author and presenter of TV shows: From the gossip to the truth and vice versa, Serbia among the plumbs, Survival... At the same time, he worked in the news desk, and was the author of the shows on the Radio Studio B.

Since November 1994 he had been working in RTV B92. He worked in the news desk of Radio B92 as the reporter, author, editor and presenter of numerous shows.

Since 1999 he had been the Vice Editor of the Information-Political Program of Radio B92.

From 2001 to 2004 he was the Editor of the Information-Political Programme of TV B92.

From 2004 to 2007 he was the Editor, Author and Presenter of the "Timofejev" show in TV B92.

Since 2007 he has been the Director General and Editor-in-chief of RTV STUDIO B.

In 1995 in Toronto he edited"Novine" , the newspapers intended for the new wave of emigrants from the Former Yugoslavia in Canada.

He is the occasional correspondent of WDR from Cologne.

He has been the editor, author and presenter of hundreds of radio and TV shows.

He went on several study trips in order to expand his skills, from Slovakia to America.

He is the Professor at the Art Academy in Belgrade, subject Radio Production.

He is one of the founders of the Independent Association of the Journalists of Serbia.

He was given award by the Association of the Writers of Serbia, DODES '97 for the expression in reporting.

He is married, father of two girls, Asja and Ženja.
